Sheepskin rug specially designed for baby care

Our ethically produced and safe “infant care” sheepskins, specially intended for baby care, are amazingly soft for strollers, lounging and baby care. The sheepskins also look great in many interiors.

The sheepskins are made in New Zealand. Only organic treatments, such as antibacterial essential oils, are used in treating sheepskins. They feature a permanent Sanitized® hygiene treatment, and they are machine washable.

Please note: sheepskins are natural products and there are differences between rugs

Wash and care instructions

Weekly airing and shaking outside is recommended
Gently brush the rug occasionally with a thin metal brush or comb
Rinse off any stains under running water
Can be machine washed by using the 30 Celsius degree wool wash program
We recommend using a biodegradable Sonett wool and silk washing detergent
Drying preferably outdoors hanging from at least two corners
Do not dry under direct sunshine or close to a heating device
As a natural prodcut wool curls when washed

Our mulesing-free sheepskin rugs come from our long-term supplier in New Zealand
The rugs are a byproduct of the Quality Assured Farms' free range meat farming system
The QAF program sets standards for animal welfare in nutrition, health care and freedom to express normal behaviour etc.
Sheep are raised in outdoor pens and eat fresh grass, which is reflected in the high quality of the rugs
Our rugs are especially suited as extra warmth or underlays for babies

Made in Napier, New Zealand
The rugs are treated with a method that is organic, chrome-free and no harmful chemicals such as formaldehyde or arsenic are used
The rugs get a permanent Sanitized® hygiene treatment to ensure no bacteria, fungi or odours develop
Finally, the skins are washed with tea tree and lemon balm oils, known for their antibacterial properties
The products are stored and shipped from Artjärvi, Finland
