The outdoor base layer is designed for demanding use. It features many carefully considered details, such as long sleeves with thumbholes, a high collar with a wind flap, and a double-knit in the knee and crotch areas.

Sleep well in natural materials
Ecological bedding made of natural fibres supports a good night’s sleep. Pillows filled with fluffy millet husk adapt to the sleeper’s position and help the body to relax. The soft wool wad filling of duvets and mattress overlays comes from surplus organic merino wool scraps from our clothing production, and the covers are made of organic cotton.

Yes, it's true! Our wool fleece is made of 100% organic merino wool. It's naturally microplastics-free alternative to traditional synthetic fleece.
Breathable wool fleece clothes are perfect for layering: use as a middle layer or on their own. Lightweight and easy to pack, wool fleece is an ideal companion for camping, but also perfect when travelling.
Wool fleece is warm as a hug and soft as a powder snow. You can wear it even on a bare skin. No harmful chemicals are used at any stage of the production.
Wool fleece rarely needs washing, as it freshens naturally when aired out. And when a wash is needed, you can simply wash it using your washing machine’s wool cycle – easy as that!
Fleece made of 100% merino wool
There’s a big difference between wool fleece and traditional fleece: wool fleece is made from 100% organic merino wool, while traditional synthetic fleece is made from polyester. Since wool fleece is entirely merino wool, it contains no microplastics.
No harmful chemicals are used at any stage of production, making the garments safe to manufacture and wear. Products are made in our own factory in Artjärvi, Finland.

As we open the door and step inside the lower floor of the Old Dairy, the room is filled with a soft steady whir, paced by a faster buzz, click and then another buzz. Some twenty seamstresses are working. This is where the heart of Ruskovilla is.
To guarantee high quality, we have never wanted to outsource our production, but have made it transparent. Our products are designed and manufactured in Finland with over 40 years of experience. As a sign of this, our products have been awarded the Finnish Key Flag label.
