Wool fleece strips sold in 500 g packages. Please note that the length and width of the strips can vary considerably. Wool fleece strips are suitable e.g. for stuffing or other crafts projects.

Wool fleece strips are produced in Artjärvi, Finland, as an ecological by-product of our merino wool fleece products, so the range of colours varies according to availability.

Wool fleece strips are 100% merino wool, soft and warm, and do not contain microplastics. Pure wool is a fire-safe material.

Wash and care instructions

No washing is required before first use
Wool neutralizes odors and often airing is enough to keep wool clothes fresh
Wash wool fleece products with 30°C wool or hand wash setting, with a max spin speed of 800 rpm, using a biodegradable wool washing detergent
We recommend the Sonett wool and silk washing liquid for washing and Sonett gall soap for stain removal
Fleece is brushed wool knit and can shrink slightly in the first wash: reshaping the item after washing is very important
Our wool products have not been treated with moth-proofing chemicals, so please protect the wool product from moths and other insects. Store wool products in a tight plastic bag when they are not in regular use

Wool fleece – a microplastic-free alternative to traditional fleece

Wool fleece is warm as a hug and soft as powder snow. It’s made of responsibly produced, 100% organic merino wool, making it a natural and microplastics-free alternative to traditional synthetic fleece. It's non-itchy and feels comfortable even against bare skin. Wool fleece is breathable, warm and elastic, just like our other merino wool garments.

Wool fleece is ideal as an extra layer in mid-winter and works perfectly on its own on warmer days. Wool fleece jackets have become the clothing of choice for many, worn all year round at the cottage, in the city and out in nature.

Handmade in Artjärvi, Finland

As we open the door and step inside the lower floor of the Old Dairy, the room is filled with a soft steady whir, paced by a faster buzz, click and then another buzz. Some twenty seamstresses are working. This is where the heart of Ruskovilla is.

To guarantee high quality, we have never wanted to outsource our production, but have made it transparent. Our products are designed and manufactured in Finland with over 40 years of experience. As a sign of this, our products have been awarded the Finnish Key Flag label.
