We are looking for seamstresses/seamsters and a cutting room worker for permanent positions in Artjärvi, Finland

Seamstress / Seamster

As a seamstress/seamster, you will take part in the production, finishing and quality control of garments and accessories as part of our production team. The work requires care, precision and confident sewing skills. We value initiative, previous experience in industrial sewing and an interest in high-quality Finnish manufacturing.

textile industry education and sewing experience
a precise, meticulous, and high-quality approach to work
ability to work independently
flexibility and a willingness to learn

Cutting room worker

As a cutting room worker, you will work as part of our production team with fabric laying, cutting and other cutting room tasks. The work requires care, precision and good physical fitness. Previous experience in cutting room work is an advantage.

We expect from you:

textile industry education and experience in textile or clothing industry tasks
meticulousness and systematic approach
ability to work as part of a team
interest in responsible Finnish production

The Ruskovilla Story

In the beginning, there was only a couple, a van, and a desire to make the world a better place through natural fibres.

From these origins, a family business was founded in 1981, becoming the first to launch clothing made from organic fibres on the Finnish market. Today, their products are in demand as far afield as Japan, Australia, and North America.

Handmade in Artjärvi

When we open the door and step into the ground floor of Vanha Meijeri, the space is filled with a soft, steady hum, punctuated by a faster whir, a click, and another whir. Around twenty seamstresses are hard at work. This is where the heart of Ruskovilla beats.

To guarantee high quality, we have never wanted to outsource our production; instead, we have made it transparent. Our products are designed and manufactured in Finland with over 40 years of experience. As a mark of this, our products have been awarded the Key Flag symbol.
