Materials

The skin is the body's largest organ, and through its two-way pores, chemical particles from clothing can enter our bodies. Therefore, it matters what we put next to our skin. At Ruskovilla, we have always believed that natural fibers are the best choice for our skin.

Nature is our best product developer

Mother Nature has been our most important product developer for thousands of years, creating the best properties for each natural fibre to suit various uses. The natural fibres we use in our clothing, accessories, and bedding – merino wool, silk, silk wool, and cotton – are all organic certified.

Merino wool

In our experience, the highest quality and most suitable wool for underwear material comes from merino sheep grazing in the southern hemisphere. Wool regulates body temperature, breathes when sweating, and provides warmth even when damp. Naturally antibacterial, wool doesn’t retain odours and freshens up with airing.

Wool fleece

Wool fleece is a thick 100% merino wool knit, brushed on both sides for a downy softness. It feels comfortable even against bare skin. Wool fleece is the warmest material in our range and a microplastic-free alternative to traditional synthetic fleece.

Silk

The composition of silk's light and breathable protein fiber is similar to human skin, making it feel extremely comfortable to wear. Its smooth structure makes it ideal for those with allergies and sensitive skin, who may not tolerate other materials.

Silk wool

Our silk wool is made of 70% organic merino wool and 30% natural silk. It combines the properties of two wonderful natural fibres: the lightness of silk and the warmth of wool. Both materials are good at balancing temperature differences: silk wool is cool in summer and warm in winter.

Cotton

Cotton is cool and breathable. Thanks to its smooth texture, unbleached and undyed cotton is particularly suitable for people with allergies and sensitive skin. Cotton is highly resistant to abrasion and can be washed often, even at high temperatures.
