Product description
Merino wool nursing top
The merino wool nursing top has ¾ sleeves, a round neckline and a practical opening under the breasts for breastfeeding. A double warm wool knit on the front protects the breasts from cold and a sewn-in elastic band keeps the lower front piece in place. Feminine shapes have been taken into consideration in the design and the shirt is also suitable for use during pregnancy.
The smooth interlock knit is opaque and smooth on both sides, so the shirt can be worn on its own or under another top.
The length of the nursing top from shoulder to hem is approx:
- XS: 60.5 cm
- S: 61 cm
- M: 64 cm
- L: 68 cm
- XL: 70 cm
- XXL: 71.5 cm
The material is certified, breathable 100% organic merino wool. Pure wool provides warmth even when damp. It neutralizes odors and doesn't need frequent washing. Pure wool is also a fire-safe material.
Handmade in Artjärvi, Finland. No need to wash before first use

Size guide
Knitted fabrics made from natural fibres are elastic, and due to the properties of the material, product sizes may vary slightly. For this reason, we do not provide measurements of finished products, but size selection is based on your own body measurements.
Dimensions in the table are given in centimetres (cm).

This is how you measure:
- Measure over bare skin or thin underwear.
- The easiest way to measure is with a tape measure. Make sure the tape measure is straight. It is easier to measure if you have another person with you or if you measure in front of a mirror.
- If your measurements fall between the two measurements on the measurement chart, we recommend taking a smaller size as the products are strethcy.
- Remember to check the measurements on the correct size chart, especially for unisex products.
Tips for choosing your size:
- The measurements on the size chart are body measurements, which you can compare to find the right size.
- Our products are made to Finnish measurements, which means that they are generally a little looser than e.g. European sizes. If you are deciding between two sizes, a smaller size is probably sufficient if you prefer a more fitted look.
- For unisex products, we recommend that women choose one size smaller than their normal size. Also check the measurements on the size chart!
- Silk wool is more elastic than wool or silk, so keep this in mind, especially when selecting adult silk wool garments.
-
The knit of our wool products will slightly shrink when first washed. This is taken into account in the sizing, which is slightly loose before the first wash.

As we open the door and step inside the lower floor of the Old Dairy, the room is filled with a soft steady whir, paced by a faster buzz, click and then another buzz. Some twenty seamstresses are working. This is where the heart of Ruskovilla is.
