Adults' Metsä (Forest) shirt is enriched with Re-Connecting Nature™ forest extract, a natural source of beneficial microbes that can support the development of the immune defence. The microbe extract is added to the silk wool knit during the manufacturing process.

The long-sleeved Metsä shirt has unisex sizing, suitable for both men and women. It features binding around the neckline, ribbed cuffs at writs and a stylish Ruskovilla ♡ Re-Connecting Nature™ -fabric logo at the hem.

Underwear comes in wide contact with bare skin, enabling extensive and long-term exposure to nature’s beneficial microbes – also in urban environments and in winter. Metsä products are made of certified organic silk wool, which is suitable for year-round use, even for sensitive skin and babies. A good idea is to wear Metsä clothing at night, so you get the benefits of nature on your skin conveniently while you sleep.

For best results, wear Metsä products as often as possible. Clean by airing and wash only when necessary. We recommend a gentle hand wash with Sonett wool and silk laundry liquid. Studies show that the Re-Connecting Nature™ extract remains in knitted silk wool fabric for multiple washes.

Clothes and accessories made from undyed organic silk wool are suitable for almost everyone. Silk wool is a blend of 30% natural silk and 70% organic merino wool. Silk wool combines the smoothness of silk and the warmth of wool. Silk wool absorbs moisture without feeling wet and freshens up with airing, so it doesn't require washing often. The material is light, stretchy and breathable, providing the necessary extra warmth when combined with other clothing.

Women: due to unisex sizing, we recommend choosing one size smaller than your normal size.

Size guide

Knitted fabrics made from natural fibres are flexible and due to the properties of the material, product sizes may vary slightly. For this reason, we do not provide measurements of finished products, but size selection is based on your own body measurements.

Dimensions in the table are given in centimetres (cm).

This is how you measure:

• Measure over bare skin or thin underwear.
• The easiest way to measure is with a tape measure. Make sure the tape measure is straight. It is easier to measure if you have another person with you or if you measure in front of a mirror.
• If your measurements fall between the two measurements on the measurement chart, we recommend taking a smaller size as the products are strethcy.
• Remember to check the measurements on the correct size chart, especially for unisex products.

Tips for choosing your size:

• The measurements on the size chart are body measurements, which you can compare to find the right size. 
• Our products are made to Finnish measurements, which means that they are generally a little looser than e.g. European sizes. If you are deciding between two sizes, a smaller size is probably sufficient if you prefer a more fitted look.
• For unisex products, we recommend that women choose one size smaller than their normal size. Also check the measurements on the size chart!
• Silk wool is more elastic than wool or silk, so keep this in mind, especially when selecting adult silk wool garments.

• The knit of our wool products will slightly shrink when first washed. This is taken into account in the sizing, which is slightly loose before the first wash.
