Size guide

Knitted fabrics made from natural fibres are elastic, and due to the properties of the material, product sizes may vary slightly. For this reason, we do not provide measurements of finished products, but size selection is based on your own body measurements.

Dimensions in the table are given in centimetres (cm).

Sizing guide for brown wool women's clothing

This is how you measure:

  • Measure over bare skin or thin underwear.
  • The easiest way to measure is with a tape measure. Make sure the tape measure is straight. It is easier to measure if you have another person with you or if you measure in front of a mirror.
  • If your measurements fall between the two measurements on the measurement chart, we recommend taking a smaller size as the products are strethcy.
  • Remember to check the measurements on the correct size chart, especially for unisex products.

Tips for choosing your size:

  • The measurements on the size chart are body measurements, which you can compare to find the right size.
  • Our products are made to Finnish measurements, which means that they are generally a little looser than e.g. European sizes. If you are deciding between two sizes, a smaller size is probably sufficient if you prefer a more fitted look.
  • For unisex products, we recommend that women choose one size smaller than their normal size. Also check the measurements on the size chart!
  • Silk wool is more elastic than wool or silk, so keep this in mind, especially when selecting adult silk wool garments.
  • The knit of our wool products will slightly shrink when first washed. This is taken into account in the sizing, which is slightly loose before the first wash.

Product description

Warm merino wool thermal leggings for women

Women's long underpants are made of smooth and non-itchy 18.5 micron merino wool. They feature flat seams and an adjustable waistband that runs in casing, and thus doesn't come in contact with skin. Cuffs at ankles are made of sturdy wool rib knit, to make it easy to put on outerwear. The warm 210 g/m2 interlock knit is opaque and particularly smooth on both sides.

The material is 100% certified organic merino wool. Pure wool balances the body temperature, breathes well and keeps you warm even when wet. It neutralises odours and does not need to be washed often. Pure wool is also a fire-safe material.

Choose your favourite merino wool shirt and pants combination to create a thermal base layer best suited for your needs.

Handmade in Artjärvi, Finland. No need to wash before use.

Taattua merinovillalaatua

Wool - warmth developed by sheep

The sheep, who have for millennia lived in vastly different living and weather conditions, have taken care of product development process for us. Us humans can also benefit from the fact that wool keeps you warm in the cool climate and feels cool during warm weather. All this is thanks to the curly texture of the fiber.

Especially in winter, it is advisable to wear warm and breathable merino wool as a base layer next to the skin. Wool can absorb up to 30% of its weight in moisture, such as sweat or rain, without feeling wet. The surface of wool is naturally antibacterial, dirt-repellent, and neutralizes odors like sweat. Refreshing it only requires airing out, and it doesn't require frequent washing. Compared to synthetic fibers, wool is also a very fire-safe material – all important qualities when choosing clothes for an active lifestyle.
