Wool - warmth developed by sheep

Sheep have taken care of the product development for us. For thousands of years, they have lived in widely varying climates and weather conditions, and we can benefit from the same properties that keep them warm in the cold and comfortable in the heat. Wool’s natural crimp traps air between the fibres, providing excellent insulation.

Especially in winter, warm and breathable merino wool makes an excellent base layer next to the skin. Wool can absorb moisture equivalent to around 30% of its own weight without feeling wet. It naturally resists dirt and the build-up of odours, and airing is often enough to freshen it up, so it rarely needs washing. Compared with synthetic fibres, wool is also highly flame-resistant – all valuable qualities in clothing designed for an active lifestyle.
